The Alliance Française, founded in Paris in 1883, is the world's largest French teaching association.

Through personal contacts between francophones and francophiles around the world, and through a variety of activities, it establishes a cultural dialogue in a pleasant and friendly environment.

Today, with a network of some 1,085 Alliances in 138 countries, and more than 300,000 students taking its language course every year, it has never been so active and dynamic.

The Alliance Française de Hamilton aims at increasing awareness and understanding of French language and culture, and widening access to it.

French tuition are available from native French speakers who are qualified teachers.

As well the Alliance Française organises informal meetings where people can get together and speak French in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
